The basic thought was the renovation and merger of two apartments in Campione to create a tailor-made family oasis. This project represented one of my first and most intriguing professional challenges. Inspired by the vision of an internationally minded client, we navigated through the complexities of renovation with a obiettivo chiaro: realizzare una dimora che rispecchia l’unicità della sua famiglia, combinando funzionalità con un’estetica senza tempo.
The ambition was great: rethinking the spaces to create a welcoming living room on the third floor dedicated to the young members of the family and a dream master suite in the attic. The challenge of uniting these two worlds in a harmonious way was resolved with a structurally bold but elegant gesture: the opening in the ceiling to accommodate a spiral staircase. This choice not only physically connected the levels but introduced a distinctive design element. The opening for the stairwell also allowed us to transform a balcony into an inviting terrace with jacuzzi, offering a private retreat with breathtaking views.
The union between the client's wishes and their realization has led the studio to propose very personalized solutions. The custom-made boiserie envelops each room with a timeless warmth, while in the dining room, a carved oriental wooden ceiling catches the eye, instilling an exotic charm. Attention to detail extends to every corner, starting from the creation of custom-made elements and furniture that dress the various rooms, to the choice of Baxter padded pieces that complete the living room and master suite, symbols of luxurious comfort.
This journey into bespoke design has transcended simple renovation, becoming a testament to how a client's vision can be masterfully translated into reality. The result? A dwelling that is more than a home: it is a stage for daily life, full of beauty, functionality and stories to tell. The successful union of these two apartments into a single, beautiful residence not only reflects the desired aesthetic harmony and warmth but also marks a memorable chapter in my design journey.
